Lemon Law Lawyers—Are Lawyers
The Only Way To Go?
Do I Have To Use a Lemon Law Attorney?
When you think of the lemon law, what comes to mind?
You probably think of unfortunate souls who bought bad cars or trucks and have to struggle in dealing with the consequences.
Hiring lemon law lawyers, nasty court proceedings, and bad luck might all come to mind.
That's not necessarily the case!
Lemon laws are in place to protect people who purchase bad cars and trucks that are under warranty. Or anything else that comes with a warranty and doesn't work the way it should.
By law, if you purchase a motor vehicle and it does not work the way it's supposed to, then you are owed compensation for as many repairs as needed to make it work.
Lemon laws often limit the number of repair attempts to three or four. At this point the law then requires that the manufacturer buy back the defective vehicle. If this does not occur, the services of a lemon law attorney or lawyer may be necessary.
Is Lemon Law Arbitration Going To Be Difficult?
Many people think that lemon law dealings are always nasty. That typically is not the case. A lawyer is only needed when the manufacturer refuses to abide by the rules that are set forth by the manufacturer's warranty and federal or state lemon laws.
The warranty is (or should be) fully explained to you, the buyer, before you sign the papers and purchase the vehicle.
If you have difficulty getting the dealer or manufacturer to comply with the terms of the warranty, you should seek the services of a lemon law lawyer.
Remember though, in many cases, a lawyer is not necessary. If the company wants to deal honestly, admitting that the car is a lemon and they want to fix it, legal counsel may not be necessary. Lemon law cases aren't always that easy, though.
If you believe you were sold a lemon automobile or other vehicle, and cannot find any solution to the problem, seek the services of a lemon law lawyer. While any lawyer can handle such a case, a lawyer who specializes in lemon laws is the best idea. Such a lawyer is well-versed in cases involving state lemon laws and can provide you with the best help.
There are few things out there worse than purchasing a vehicle just to find out that it doesn't run the way it is supposed to. Realizing that the company who sold you the car doesn't want to give you any help makes it that much worse.
The little person can rarely prevail against the big company alone, but that is what lemon laws are for. If you have to seek the counsel of lemon law lawyers, you can rest assured that you will be comopensated according to the letter of the law.
